Valentine’s week: a bouquet in a box (that you’ll actually use)

Valentine’s week: a bouquet in a box (that you’ll actually use)

Valentine’s gifting can be a funny one.

Some people love it. Some people ignore it completely. And a lot of us don’t want more stuff just for the sake of a date on the calendar.

So if you are doing anything for Valentine’s this year, I’m voting for small, useful gifts — the kind that feel thoughtful, get used up, and don’t end up in a drawer.

And if you’re not doing Valentine’s at all? Also completely fine. February can be long and grey, and sometimes the best “gift” is just making everyday routines feel a bit nicer.

The Floral Soap Set: a bouquet in a box

I put together a little set that’s basically a bouquet in a box — except it’s useful.

Inside you’ll find three of my floral favourites:

  • Rose Soap

  • Lavender Soap

  • May Chang Soap

It’s a really lovely option if you want something that feels like a treat, but still practical.

Why I like soap as a gift (especially this time of year)

Soap is one of those things we all use, but we rarely buy for ourselves in a “special” way.

A good bar can turn a regular shower into a proper little reset — and in winter, when the days are short and everything feels a bit rushed, that matters more than we realise.

It’s also:

  • Easy to post

  • Easy to use (no learning curve)

  • A small luxury that doesn’t create clutter

  • A simple way to reduce plastic in the bathroom

Rose Soap: soft, classic, comforting

Rose is such a classic for a reason.

It feels gentle, warm, and familiar — like the “cosy jumper” version of a floral scent. If you’re buying for someone who likes things simple and comforting, Rose is usually a safe bet.

Lavender Soap: the wind-down one

Lavender is the bar I reach for when I want my shower to feel calmer.

It’s the kind of scent that makes you slow down for a second — and if you’re gifting, it’s lovely for anyone who’s been run off their feet lately.

May Chang Soap: bright, fresh, uplifting

May Chang is the one that surprises people.

It’s citrusy and clean and instantly mood-lifting — the kind of scent that makes the bathroom feel brighter, even when the weather outside is doing its usual February thing.

If you’re gifting to someone who loves fresh, zesty scents, this is the one.

Not really a Valentine’s shopper? Same.

Honestly, I don’t find people buy my products for Valentine’s in a huge way — and that’s completely fine.

But I do know that February can feel long, grey, and a bit heavy. And a good shower (with a soap that smells amazing) is one of those tiny, everyday things that can genuinely lift your mood.

So whether it’s a gift for someone else or a little pick-me-up for yourself — this set fits.

A quick note on delivery timing (if you want it for Friday)

If you order today, I can ship Thursday, and you should have it by Friday — this is a last min call out.

If you’re local and you’re taking the chance, I’ll do my part as fast as I can.

How to make your soap last longer (the one thing that matters)

If you’re new to bars (or yours ever goes a bit soft), this is the one thing that makes the biggest difference:

  • Let your soap dry fully between uses on a draining soap dish.

That’s it.

If you want to go one step further, keeping your soap out of direct shower spray helps too — the less it sits in water, the longer it lasts.

If you’re gifting: a tiny note that makes it feel extra thoughtful

If you’re giving the Floral Soap Set as a gift, add a little note like:

  • “For your evening wind-down.”

  • “For a fresh start.”

  • “A small bouquet, but useful.”

It doesn’t need to be a big gesture. The thought is the whole point.

If you’d like to see the Floral Soap Set, it’s on the website now.

Thank you for supporting a tiny Irish business — it genuinely means the world.
