Popping Up in Drumlish: Why Community Matters (Especially at Christmas)

There’s something special about Christmas in a small town. The lights, the familiar faces, and the sense that—no matter what else is happening in the world—community still matters.
That’s exactly why I’m so excited for this week’s pop-up shop in Drumlish. For a few days, I get to step out from behind the website and meet you all in person—face to face, neighbour to neighbour. If you are reading this from Australia or USA, Im sorry, this is directly to my Drumlish peeps.

More Than Just Janni Bars: A Celebration of Local Goodness

This year, I wanted the pop-up to be more than just a chance to shop my own bars and balms (though of course, those will be there!). I’m delighted to also be offering Longford-produced honey and beeswax products, as well as delicious local chutneys. It’s a little taste of what our county has to offer, and a reminder that behind every small business is a real person, a family, and a story.
Whether you’re picking up a last-minute gift set, a treat for yourself, or something tasty for the Christmas table, you’re supporting a whole web of local makers—and that means more now than ever.

Why Community Matters—Especially Now

Shopping small isn’t just about what’s in your bag at the end of the day. It’s about the ripple effect:
  • Every purchase keeps a local dream alive
  • Every chat at the pop-up sparks new ideas and friendships
  • Every bit of support helps not just me, but the beekeepers, the chutney-makers, the couriers, and everyone else in our local supply chain
After years of running Janni Bars mostly online, I can honestly say there’s nothing like meeting customers in person. The stories you share, the feedback you give, and the simple act of saying hello—all of it keeps me inspired and reminds me why I started this journey.

What You’ll Find at the Drumlish Pop-Up

  • All your Janni Bars favourites: shampoo bars, conditioner bars, soaps, balms, the Hair Wax Stick, and exclusive gift sets
  • Longford honey & beeswax products: perfect for gifting or adding a special touch to your holiday table
  • Locally made chutneys: delicious, unique, and a true taste of home
  • Gift-wrapping, advice, and a friendly chat: whether you’re shopping or just browsing, I’m always happy to help you find the perfect present or answer any questions
If you’re local (or just passing through), please pop in—even if it’s just to say hi and soak up the festive atmosphere.

Thank You for Being Part of This Community

Running a small business isn’t always easy, but it’s the people—the community—who make it worthwhile. Whether you’ve ordered online, recommended Janni Bars to a friend, or plan to visit the pop-up, I’m so grateful for your support.
Let’s keep the local spirit alive this Christmas, support each other, and celebrate all the wonderful things our community has to offer.
Wishing you a warm, happy holiday season, Janni
